Chris Buzelli

-Casey-

1.) How do you manage stress?

Sometimes I take my dog for a walk. Sometimes I just call it a day, put the paints down and hope for better the next day.

2.) What was your favorite professional assignment that you ever did?
Tropen museum posters. http://www.drawger.com/buzelli/?cat_id=538;

3.) What do you do when you can't come up with ideas? How do you overcome 'block'?
Start thinking about things that I want to draw. Try and incorporate them into the concept that I'm working on.

4.) What was the first illustration job you had and how did you get it?
I got a small spot illustration with a medical magazine. I got it by dragging my portfolio all around town and talking to art directors directly.

5.) What advice would you give an aspiring illustrator/student?
It's not an easy profession. It took me about 7-10 years before I could call it a full time job. It takes years of practice and dedication.
